Nektarios Toursidis
My name is Nektarios Toursidis, and my journey with the art of folklore dances began in childhood, igniting a passion that has endured for over 50 years. In those early days, establishing my first ensemble was a labor of love, undertaken without the aid of modern media or technology. Each aspect, from the music to the teaching methods to the dances themselves, required extensive research and exploration, as online resources were nonexistent. It was a process of deep discovery, shaping, and passing on knowledge to dancers and musicians.
I take immense pride in the fact that four ensembles I founded continue to thrive. Three of them, located in the Caucasus, are now led by my students and sons, Agis being one of them. The most recent addition, Romiosini in Cyprus, is also under Agis's capable leadership. Witnessing my son's dedication to preserving and advancing our shared passion is profoundly moving, especially as he found his life partner within the dance ensemble, mirroring my own experience with his mother. Now, my grandchildren carry on this tradition, embracing the magic of folklore dances with enthusiasm and a commitment to passing it down to future generations.
For me, the greatest joy lies in seeing my life's work alive and thriving through the dedication of my students, children, and grandchildren. It's a testament to the enduring power and beauty of folklore dances, and I am grateful to play a role in their preservation and evolution.

Agis Toursidis
I am Agis Toursidis, serving as the Art Director and Chief Choreographer of the National Dance Ensemble Romiosini. My journey in the world of dance began at the tender age of 5, within my parents' ensemble, and has spanned over 35 years since. At the age of 21, I stepped into the role of choreographer, dedicating the subsequent two decades to teaching, managing, and crafting choreographies for various dance ensembles and children's academies.
My heart beats strongest for Greek and Georgian folk dances, which have been constant sources of inspiration and motivation throughout my career. I firmly believe in the importance of preserving and passing down our ancestral knowledge, viewing choreography as a powerful tool for instilling discipline and fostering determination in our youth. Folklore choreography, in particular, serves as a bridge to our historical heritage and the collective wisdom of entire nations, molding young individuals into well-rounded personalities enriched by cultural understanding and appreciation.

Additionally, they delve into the rich history and diversity of cultures and costumes. Dance instills discipline, fosters good behavior, promotes self-control, and encourages a healthy lifestyle.
I am here to unveil the magic of dance and guide you in discovering yourself through its transformative power. Trust me, and together, we'll embark on an incredible journey through movement and expression.

Beso Osipidis
My name is Beso Osipidis, currently serving as a dance instructor in Nicosia and Larnaca. My journey in dance began with Georgian dance, nurtured further by experiences in a dance studio in Georgia. Meeting choreographer Agis Toursidis 11 years ago at Romiosini ignited my passion for dance, leading me to transition swiftly from student to teacher.
In addition to my dance career, I've spent 18 years coaching youth football, offering diverse perspectives and skills. The fusion of my Georgian dance roots, varied teaching experiences, and exposure to different influences has shaped my unique approach to dance, emphasizing personal growth alongside technical proficiency.
Teaching dance extends beyond physical movement; it encompasses character-building and social understanding, instilling values like discipline and respect. I'm proud to see my daughter, Sofia, following my footsteps and thriving in the dance community for over a decade. Witnessing her growth and taking over classes in Nicosia and Larnaca brings me immense joy.
The magic of dance lies in its ability to connect individuals with themselves and the world, offering a transformative journey that enriches lives.

Victoria Sachpazidou
My name is Victoria Sachpazidou, and dance has been part of my life for the past ten years. During my studies in the UK, I came to realize how deeply rooted it is in me, and how much was missing without it.
Before my studies, I had the joy of teaching at Romiosini’s children’s academy, and I am grateful to now continue again as an instructor. For me, dance is more than movement — it is discipline, identity, and a way of expressing oneself without words. It has shaped my values and given me lessons I carry into everyday life.
Through teaching, I aim to nurture confidence, teamwork, and determination in my students, while helping to preserve and honour our traditions.
